Gold medal sessions of IOA (competition paper) during IOACON
1
Dr. A.A. Mehta Gold Medal: This competition is open only to IOA Life members below 40
years of age as on 31st December, of the year of the conference. Proofs of membership and
age are essential. The central committee
in its august meeting shall screen papers marked for the said gold medal completion shall be
announced during the valedictory function of the conference. Medal will be presented during
the inauguration of the subsequent year’s conference.

Dr. K.T. Dholakia Gold Medal: This will be awarded to the overall best paper of the
conference. Only for life members of IOA.

Dr. R.C. Rallan Gold Medal: This will be awarded to best paper on the Basic Science. Only
for life members of IOA

Dr. S.S. Yadav Gold Medal: This will be awarded to the best paper in Oncology
Section. Only for life members of IOA.

Dr. P. Tejeswar Rao Gold Medal: This award is for the best paper by a post graduate. All
awards will be chosen by the central committee of the IOA in consultation with the scientific
committee. The winner of the best paper will be presented a medal, a certificate. Only for P.G.
students.

Dr. D.P. Baksi Gold Medal: This is awarded to the best paper in the field of Elbow and
Shoulder diseases. Only for life members of IOA.

Dr. S.P. Mandal Gold Medal: This is awarded to the best paper in the field of Rational
Orthoapedics. Only for life members of IOA.

Dr. Joy Patankar Gold Medal:This is awarded to the best paper in the field of Paedicatric
Orthopaedics and Trauma. Only for life members of IOA.

Dr. K. P. Srivastava Gold medal for best poster: This award is for thebest poster
exhibited during the conference. Panel of judges will visit posters and the presenter of the
poster is required to be present near the poster at the stipulated time. Only for life
members of IOA.
